Our Great Grand mother Paraskevou was a dynamic woman who never hesitated to speak her mind, whatever this may have been. A maniac for cleanliness and tidiness, she was a distinctive personality in the village. For years she had a ‘mantzibion’ – bakery.

THE HOUSE OF ZOIRO – 30m2

Our Grandmother Zoiro, a seamstress in profession, was a very hospitable friendly religious and quiet, good natures woman. She never had a bad word to say about anybody and had a constant angelic smile on her lovable face. She was always ready to help all people. She had a much loved cat, which followed her whenever she went and would always wait for her outside the church, whenever to the she went to the liturgy.

Most of the furnishings which have been renovated in this apartment belonged to grandmother Zoiro.

THE PARPERIKON (Barber Shop) OF MIHAILI – 42m2

This apartment has two entrances; the one entrance is found directly on the main central square of the village, while the other is on a balcony which leads to the main internal garden.

Grandfather Michailis was the village barber who had a great sense of humour. He was a quick – witted man, who was always direct in stating his points of view. He was greatly respected by all for his honesty and integrity and the pranks he would play on everybody. He was an excellent backgammon player.

This apartment is the site of the original barber shop and displayed with much pride, the visitor will see the special sharpening machine used by our grandfather for this equipment.

THE HOUSE OF ELLADA

Our holiday home is also a part of Arsorama; so that we too may enjoy the beauties of the place. Grandmother Ellada, is living in Limassol, but has never forgotten her roots. An only child, the daughter of Zoiro and Mihailis and wife of Evangelos, who loves her family above all.

A very hospitable woman who is very particular in the choices she makes and is famous for the delicious food she cooks.

Grand father Evangelos was an agriculturalist living in Limassol. Although he was born in the village Lofou, he came to love Arsos as if it was his own home. A truly charming man he was the epitome of honesty, generosity, friendliness and a hospitable family man.

Arsorama has been decorated with traditional handmade design created particularly for these apartments by ‘Ploumisto Psomi’ (handmade embroidered traditional bread).

One can also find original articles and furnishings that were passed down by our ancestors, that have been specially renovated and which decorate the various apartments.
